Mini Split Line Set Length: What the Numbers Mean
The line set is the insulated copper pair between the indoor and outdoor units, and its length quietly decides whole projects. In our dataset the true-DIY lines ship at two lengths: MRCOOL's DIY line includes a 25 ft pre-charged set, the Easy Pro line a 16 ft set - both stated in the systems' verified notes and visible in the table. Pre-charged sets cannot simply be extended: beyond the included length, additional refrigerant charge must be calculated by weight, which is gauge-and-scale work. Flare systems are more flexible on length (you cut to fit) but every extra foot is more vacuum to pull and, past the factory charge length, more refrigerant to add.
